Why Salmon?

Salmon is a fantastic source of omega-3 fatty acids, which support:

  • A shiny, healthy coat

  • Reduced inflammation in joints

  • Heart and brain health

Paired with egg (for protein and binding) and oat flour (a gentle, cat-friendly grain), this recipe is simple, nutritious, and cat-approved.

Recipe: Baked Salmon Cat Treats

Ingredients:

  • 1 (5 oz) can salmon in water + no added salt (do not drain)

  • 1 egg

  • 5 tablespoons oat flour

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a blender, combine salmon, egg, and oat flour. Mix until well blended.

  1. Place mixture in a zip-loc bag and cut off a small tip to act as a piping bag.

  2. Make squiggles or whatever fun shapes you like.

  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until firm and lightly golden.

  4. Let cool completely before serving to your cat.

Storage

Keep treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage. Cats may even enjoy them slightly chilled for extra freshness!

A Few Tips:

  • Break into smaller pieces for kittens or petite cats.

  • Use a silicone mold for fun shapes (like tiny fish).

  • Make sure to let treats cool fully before feeding.

✨ With only three ingredients and about 15 minutes of your time, you can whip up these Baked Salmon Cat Treats and give your furry companion a healthy snack that feels like a feast.
